UNDER CONSTRUCTION - A new way to identify stamps of the world without expensive printed catalogs. See our campaign to raise funds on Kickstarter to complete this ambitious project.

PROPOSED ORGANIZATION OF THE CATALOG:
Countries of the world in alphabetical order *
1. Modern name of the country e.g. Nigeria.
2. Preceded by states/provinces that made up the country prior to unification under one postal service e.g. Lagos, Niger Coast, Northern Nigeria, Oil Rivers Protectorate, Southern Nigeria.
3. Modern regional issues or breakaway states/provinces e.g. Biafra.
4. Local Posts (a future project).

Stamps will be listed in this order by date of issue.
1. Foreunners e.g. pre-official stamps (usually local stamps).
2. Definitives and commemorative sets. Airs, express, special delivery and semi-postals will be included in this category. Some definitives that are of the same design but were issued on different dates will be combined so as to to make the stamps easier to identify.
3. Where there is a large proliferation of definitive stamps e.g. the U.K. machins, they will be listed separately. Again, so they will be easier to identify.
4. Postage Due stamps.
5. Official stamps, including Military stamps.
6. Postal Tax stamps.
7. Offices abroad (usually overprints)
8. Revenue stamps.
9. Postal Stationery - entire covers and cut-squares (a future project).
10. Local Posts (a future project).

* Alternatively, stamps will listed according to their topic e.g. birds, mushrooms, space etc.
